DM "RECOIL SPRING REMOVER THINGAMAJIG" Used to help remove and install recoil springs. The little groove that was filed out of the inside of the washer allows the washer to slip past the straightened paper clip that is retaining the plug and spring. "Spring Tester" After placing the recoil spring on the rod, compress the spring using the big washer while pushing the rubber tipped end against a scale (like a bathroom scale) to read the poundage. The black knob is used to prevent the spring from coming off in the event you accidentally let go of it. A nut will also work in place of the knob.
