flagaman
Given the choice between a model 25-2 or a new 625 which would you pick? Will be able to join a club that shoots ICORE this spring so was wondering where to put my money. I was shooting a k-38 and a 9MM glock in production where I used to live, but would like to move up to major wheel gun. I will shoot both jacketed and cast bullets. Thanks, Howard
vrmn1
Get a 625. 25-2 have been known to have HUGE throats that can cause them to be less than accurate.
Ron Ankeny
I would much rather have an old 25-2 with a 6 1/2 inch tube. But I am old school.
Round_Gun_Shooter
I own both so here is what I have found. I can get a better action on the newer style 625 than I can on the 25-2. I used a 6" Barrel from a 25-2 on my 625 so it is the best of both worlds sight radius wise. It comes down to price as far as I am concerned. Which ever you can buy at the best price is the best one to get. The subtle differences on the action will probably not make a difference to you. Whatever you choose, invest in a case of ammo and work it hard before you modify so you are sure you get what you want.
flagaman
Thank you gentlemen. Seems I read that the 25 would not shoot cast bullets as well as the 625. Have either of you experienced this?
