Tokarev
This was an early Christmas present from my wife. Actually she told me to just buy the range bag I wanted. This is the Green Mountain Big Bag. The company's website gives the dimensions as 27"L x 14" W x 12.5" H, which is somewhat misleading since the measurements include the outside pockets. The center compartment is 19.5"L X 9.5" W X 11" which is big enough to hold probably everything a shooter would realistically need. There's a divider in the large compartment that's attached with hook and loop fasteners. The central compartment has two padded compartments that run the entire length and give plenty of room for pistols. The entire central compartment is removable but it's really not a stage bag and looks to be removable so it can be cleaned or replaced. There's one very large front pocket that's got a pouch that'll hold 10 magazines. This pouch is big and will easily hold a 140mm mag. I don't have an open gun but I'm sure there's plenty of room to take a 170mm mag. As with everything in this bag, the pouch is stuck in place with Velcro and can be removed if so desired. There is a decent sized pocket on each end of the bag with a removable padded section. There's also a zippered pocket along the back edge for whatever you couldn't find space for elsewhere. It'll probably be a good place to stick some gun magazines (gun porn), wallet, checkbook, etc. The inside of the lip flap is covered with loops of various sizes for pens, markers, screwdrivers, etc. There's also a zippered pouch in the lip for cleaning rods, etc. The bag's made of 1000D nylon and looks to be very sturdy. YKK zippers are used throughout and the stitching looks good. This bag is probably 25% larger than the bag I was using previously. My main complaint with my old bag was that it wasn't tall enough to zip with my CR Speed holster and belt inside. There's no such problem with the Green Mountain bag and it's going to take me awhile to figure out what I'm supposed to do with all the extra space! These bags aren't cheap with a list price of over $150. There's also what's called a custom bag, which includes embroidery. There's no slot for a water bottle and the bag doesn't include a brass bag. Overall shot: The front pocket and the mag pouch. Note the mesh pocket and pistol pouch inside: Side pouch: Padding removed: Overall with the lid open. Note the extra handle so the bag can be carried without closing the lid: The internal area with divider in place: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v221/tok...ag/DSC00020.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v221/tok...ag/DSC00019.jpg The back pocket: Click Here The internal pistol pouches. Tokarev
Thanks for posting the pics. Definitely bigger than I want, but it looks very well thought out and constructed. Take a peek at what they call the Original. It's the same pattern but it's 50% smaller. Edited December 20, 2007 by Tokarev
