Chills1994 Posted October 16, 2007 Share Posted October 16, 2007 Hi all, I have a kinetic bullet puller, but for the amount of bad rounds I have to pull the bullets from, I'm thinking a kinetic bullet puller is not up to the task. I pulled 250 rounds in about 1/2 hour, while on the phone, the other night at work. saved all the powder and reloaded the rounds yesterday. you no longer have to undo the chuck to remove the case, you just give it a partial turn and dump it out. then stick the next case in, turn it slightly till tight, push the case more until it clicks on the rim, tighten again and give it a few whacks. let the puller pounce, don't try and do it in one hard hit, light bouncing hits work better. Once you get setup, it really doesn't take too long with the hammer puller. You get a feel for how to 'snap' the hammer after a while and it gets easier. slavex's link looks pretty cool too. I just work 8 to 12 hours a day swinging a hammer or turning wrenches as it is. I would just rather not swing a hammer at home and make my "tennis elbow"...err...mmn ..."carpenter's elbow" flare up. Tendonitis/elbow pain is not conducive to good shooting, practice, or dry firing. chills...How many do you have to pull? I've pulled...maybe...a few hundred at once. 6-shot Posted October 20, 2007 Share Posted October 20, 2007 RCBS makes a collet bullet puller and Hornaday used to make one ,but you need a single stage press I think ,never tried to pull bullets with a progressive press. Try www.lockstock.com they carry a ton of reloading stuff.
