mboylan
When using a captured stainless steel guide rod in a G34, is it still necessary to cut off 3 or 4 coils on a 13lb ISMI spring like you would for a full length guide rod?
driver8M3
When using a captured stainless steel guide rod in a G34, is it still necessary to cut off 3 or 4 coils on a 13lb ISMI spring like you would for a full length guide rod? i think that depends on the load you're shooting, and your preference for how the gun cycles. i use an ISMI spring with 3 coils cut off (in a 34) b/c my wimpy load won't cycle the slide consistently with a full 13 lb spring. i don't notice or care much about how it cycles...
