Dowter
I was thinking about getting a six inch gun for reasons including improved accuracy via a longer site radius when it donned on me that with my "Lightning Rod" fiber optic front site that I was using essentially moved my site radius back about an inch from the front of the gun. So my question is - How important is the site radius for accuracy and does an inch either way really matter?
Flexmoney
I use a Glock 35 (longer slide) in most competitions...When I use a standard size gun (G17 or G22) I don't feel that I give up any accuracy.
benos
Dowter, Technically, it should improve your sighting accuracy by the percentage of increase. Which would be what, about 15 to 20%? Realistically, I can't say for sure. Shooting The Great One's 6" blaster, it does feel noticeably more "forgiving." be
ErikW
I shoot 4.5" - 5" bbl iron sights the same out to 35 or 40 yards. I notice accuracy suffers with the little Glock 26 past 15 yards.
Ron Ankeny
I shoot a 6" STI. All I can tell you is that when you call a bad one, it's usually really bad. On the other side of the coin, the longer sight radius is indeed a bit more forgiving.
