Tokarev
Hello! WOLF is now selling Boxer primers and they are available from Widener's and others. Prices are running about $90 per 5,000 +/- depending on quantities ordered. I got a flat of 5,000 LP primers to try. The primers come nicely packaged and are gold in color. I loaded two batches of .45 ACP ammo to test just how the Russian primers compare to Federal primers. I shot ten rounds of each over the chrono. Here are the results: 230 Cast RNL 4.0 grains of Bull's Eye Mixed cases WOLF primers 749 fps AVG 777.5 High 732.5 Low 45 ES 14.5 SD Same as above but with Federal primers 734.5 fps AVG 745.9 High 720.3 Low 25.6 ES 7.56 ES
Carlos
Aren't those from the same factory as PMC?
Kingman
I am hoping to see someone try these with 9mm major loads.
Tokarev
Aren't those from the same factory as PMC? I read that someplace on the 'net but don't know if it's true or not. The primers I got are marked "Murom Apparatus Producing Plant."
DarkSmileyX
I have a case of PMC small rifle primers and they say they were made at "Murom Apparatus Producing Plant" also.
Carlos
Here is a link to the PMC primer plant - actually the Murom plant: www.flame.murom.ru/ I have used PMC for years. No problem with Wolf/PMC primers. I trust PMC. Even if they are Russian.

dirty whiteboy
Anyone have an idea where wolff primers rank in sensetivity? How do they work in striker fired pistolas?
Carlos
Anyone have an idea where wolff primers rank in sensetivity? How do they work in striker fired pistolas? Dunno about the pistol primers. BUT - I tuned my AR-15 trigger/hammer with JP springs (only springs) to where it will only set off 2 brands of ammo reliably: Federal and Wolf .223. I have the impression that Wolf is fairly reliable/sensitive. Dunno if its the primer cup or the compound though.
