wcmesa
Ive got a chance to pick up a very low round count 38 super with a scope mount . I Know the gun is rather old possibly 10yrs plus. Would this be a good entry to the "dark side". What about mags didnt they use 2 diffrent frame sizes back then. What about mag ext and big sticks. Im going to look at the pistol next weekend. I want an open gun but not a money pit. any thoughts would be helpfull
Kingman
If its a good price then you are all good. There were parts of the old EAA guns I liked, and parts I did not. Make sure that the single stage trigger and safety work together. Some of them just did not quite work right. In other words you could pull the trigger with the safety on and nothing. Then once you drop the safety bang. Similar to a poor job done on a 1911 safety. If it is in good shape then it is a good entry gun into OPEN. Huston in Austin
As far as I know, there was only one frame size for the super. Mags are available from Henning at http://www.henningshootsguns.com/ and also from EAA. Hennings mags are tunned with different followers and base pads. I know of no reason to buy the pistol and enjoy your journey to the Dark Side.
