Krieghoff
I have an older Edge that I bought an STI magwell for. The problem is that my 126 mm magazines will not quite go in fsr enough. The mag base just touches the magwell. These are the 14 round magazines with the thin factory basepad. Any suggestions?
benny hill
I had to bevel the bases all the way around to get mine to fit.... About 2 minutes a mag and they work fine. Be sure to take enough off the bases to allow both front to rear and side to side "wiggle" after the mags latch or they will not feed correctly. Bear23
Trim the edges of the basepads until they fit. Dremel and grind away, they don't need much.
Aircooled6racer
Hello: You could buy some Dawson base pads that fit the box. If you want to use the factory base pads you may have to sand down the top of the base pad as well as bevelling the sides at a 45 degree angle. Are they roundish base pads or the flat ones? Hope this helps. Thanks, Eric

Krieghoff
Thanks guys. That was what I assumed, but I just wanted to make sure. Is there any advantage to using the Dawson pads that fit in the box or are they just cool?
Julien Boit
Thanks guys. That was what I assumed, but I just wanted to make sure. Is there any advantage to using the Dawson pads that fit in the box or are they just cool? The best two reasons for me to use that kind of pads are : - They increase capacity by at least one round. - They allow better seating of the mag if you have a deep magwell. Aircooled6racer
Hello: The Dawson pads don't need a tool to remove them. They sit a little lower and allow you to seat them easier with some magwells. Yes they are cool with different colors. Thanks, Eric
