R112mercer
I'm looking for basepads for the magazines of my S&W Model 41. Because of the way the grips are shaped it can be difficult fully seating mags at speed. Does anybody know of anybody that makes anything like this? Is there an easy way around this using homemade materials? Is there a generic ".22 basepad" available that can be adapted? Thanks.
DougCarden
Rob, you may have to make your own. I made mine out of a cutting board, was just the right type of Delrin type material... Good luck, DougC
R112mercer
That's what I was thinking. But I did see a guy selling a 41 in the classifieds on this forum with a whole mess of mags with really nice looking basepads. Maybe the guys better with a dremel than I am... Thanks, Doug. Z Rider
Chip McCormick shooting star base pads work well. I use something very similar to those on my 41 mags which I use for pin & plate matches Go to Midway USA site and search for base pads

Willson pads work but you have to do some sanding and fitting. I had some old willson with cracked lips. I used JB weld that lasted a few years to keep them on.
