rhino
I just finished a 3-Day defensive pistol class and my shooting reflected some of the worst accuracy ever. Curiously, it was the worst when I was going slowly and trying to shoot accurately. Late in the class when the rest were encouraged to go fast, I turned it up a notch and my accuracy improve dramatically. The faster I went, the less time I had to CARE! froglegs
So I figured, with the state IDPA match coming up, "Y'know what? SCREW this 'shooting faster than you can hit' stuff. Especially in IDPA where accuracy is King. I'm just gonna shoot as fast as I can hit, no faster, and let the chips fall where they may." Realistically I knew I had a chance to win the match in CDP but it just wasn't a major consideration for me. When I can maintain this one thought I shoot my best and have a great time. It would be great to do this at will!
