1911FXR
Does anyone know if Dillon is planning on making dies for the 550 in the 5.7x28 caliber? Is this too new a cartridge to be thinking about reloading? Thanks in advance for your thoughts. 1911FXR
Intel6
There are a bunch of people loading for it, Hornady and RCBS makes dies and others might be doing it now. There is a 5.7 forum on the net that has a reloading section. Do a search to find it. Neal in AZ
John Dunn
As above. The 5.7 forum has the contact info for a guy making the 550 caseholder plates, as I don't think Dillon is ,yet. Have to ask Dillon about the dies.
1911FXR
Thanks so much John & Neal! Let the search begin. From the other site - "I use the Dillon 550 with Hornady dies. There is a caliber conversion available from Al Newell for $80 + shipping. This all works well. Al Newell 6901 W. Conifer LN. Las Vegas, NV. 89145 702-363-6694" Guess I'll call Al in the morning and see if he has any left. Great forum and great info. Thanks Again, Jeff in TX Edited September 12, 2006 by 1911FXR
dillon
Dillon Precision has no plans to offer conversion kits or die sets for the 5.7x28 cartridge in the forseeable future.
