BritinUSA
As long as there is enough bullet for the case to grip onto, the OAL is a non-issue. OAL should be set to whatever works in your gun. My SVI used to be 1.245, my EAA Open gun is 1.2 Stick with whatever works for you.
old john
What type of mags are you using. My st- will not run at 1.28 but love 1.40. Just a thought that mags also could cause your problem in reverseof mine. Old John
PaulW
I have had problems even at 1.250 due to the nose of the bullets rubbing the inside of the mag. I load 1.235-1.240 and have not had any problems since.
turbocomp38s
My OAL is between 1.235 to 1.240. Use to be 1.245 to 1.250. Could be feeding problems due to the OAL but I always check them using my barrel as the gauge to make sure that every bullet feeds. (Considering it is very time consuming but it works espcially in major matches) Also check the crimp, that could be the cause too or the bottom part of the brass which expands after use. Make sure that the sizer die reaches the bottom part.
Front Man
I'd make sure the bullets are sitting at the proper angle in the magazines too. My OAL is 1.277 with 125 Zero's and 115 XTP's and Winchester 115 JHP's. I think my OAL is 1.277 with round nose bullets too. Caspian magazines might be the reason I can go a little longer.
