cpty1
Anybody know what the weight difference is between a full length JP/VTac handguard vs a full length carbon fiber guard? I currently have a RR 20" stainless barrel and standard free float aluminum tube and would like to reduce some weight on the rifle. Thought the handguard might be a good starting point. Thanks in advance. Edited July 6, 2006 by cpty1

cpty1
I finally found some weights listed in a catalog. The Clark fiber guard - 6.2 oz. The JP aluminum - 13.7 oz. Therefore, the none vented job I've currently got on the gun probably goes over a pound. Edited July 7, 2006 by cpty1
Nick Weidhaas
I just switched from the JP (older style) to the Clark Carbon Fiber Handguard. I run a 20" JP upper and the CF handgard made a big differnce. Rifle still has a nice feel. I took 1lb off the rifle by going to the CF handgard and the ACE skeleton stock. Rifle ways 9lbs with optics now. N-
Rush
Hi All, just wondering if anyone has any experience on the PRI carbon fiber tube? I'm using an ARMS SIR rail at the moment and the weight is considerable. Cant seem to find any reference to anyone using the PRI tubes though. Thanks in advance...
