Dusty
Which mag holders are best for 3 gun with STI mags? What about single stack 10 rounders? I was thinking about Safariland 771 or 773. Which one works best for each? are there pros and cons concerning the tall open front verses the short closed 773? How about the CR Versa pouch? I would also like to use them for L10 or Limited
JFD
I don't shoot much 3-gun, but I use 773s for Glock, Para, and SS mags. No complaints at all and I definitely like them better than CR Speed, although a single CR Speed would work for all 3 mag types and save some money.. glockster96
Hey Dusty, I use Blade-tech magazine holders for my STI when I shoot 3 gun. They have the tek-lok attachment, so they are easy to take on/off if needed. HTH, and good luck!
richardschennberg
I use Dillon Duo mag pouches at or behind my hip, and adjustable Safariland in front. I get my Safariland belts, holsters, and pouches from Chuck Bradley at Shooters Connection (see Favorite Links on Schennberg.com). Richard

CraigS.
I use different types depending on the type of match or stage designs. For multi gun matches such as the Iron man and tactical style matches where there is alot of prone position shooting or props that can unseat your mags if you have to get close to them. I prefer pouches such as the ones made by 3-gun gear or blade tech , both have excelent retention and are easy to take on and off. If it's a pistol only stage or a muti-gun without prone position shooting I prefer to have the safariland 771 pouches on the front of my belt just like I use for uspsa limited pistol matches. The only problem when you switch positions on your belt you might forget that there are not where you remember them, and reach for the old location on your belt ooops Craig
Bronco
I've been using Comp-Tac for several years no matter what the cof. Carry one double mag holder in the same place (behind the hip) so the mags are always where my hand goes. They go on with out removing your belt and come off the same way but always stay put once they are put on. I shoot mostly 3 gun/multi gun but use the same setup for pistol only in limited. Also use their holster. Keith
