Grandfather Glock
Are the unconventional stock Steyr triangle sights legal? Are they considered "notch and post"? Thanks.
Navy87Guy
Since the Steyrs are on the USPSA approved Production Handgun list - and the trapezoidal sights are factory standard - then I'm guessing the answer is "yes. Jim
eerw
Pretty sure yes...since that is the production sight.. a local shooter shot that gun for a couple of years and was able to get his GM in production with it.. neat little gun..
Middle Man
Yep, notch and post...just in an "out the box" kinda way. I liked the way the gun fit low in my hand, but I never cared for the sights.
Newguy
Yes, they are legal since they are really notch and post. I have a Steyr and they're a nice gun. The only company that makes true notch and post aftermarket sights for the Steyr are PT Night Sights (in Las Vegas). You can get their night sights or ask them for the sights minus the Tritium -- cheaper and it lets you to paint the front sight a bright color. They'll even install the sights for free if you send them the slide.
