ColoradoNick
I work a job that requires me to be gone for 48 hours straight. No way I can bring a gun to work to dryfire. I’m trying to make M now and find it detrimental to take two days off from dry-fire once to twice a week. I’ve ordered a replica blue gun that I CAN bring to work. Now I’m just wondering if anyone has “machined the slide” for an optic and has any tips on how to do it? I was thinking a dremel and some files. shred
Mill a flat, drill and tap for the screw pattern. Edit: also depending how accurate you want the result to be you might need to slope the flat to match your 'real' gun dot angle.
CClassForLife
Brass threaded inserts for plastic. Drill holes where you want the optic to be. Use a soldering iron to set the inserts into drilled holes.
ColoradoNick
awesome thank you guys, I'm not too worried about it being identical but if I can do transition work and dot occlusion that would help with 90% of my issues.
