Any loads for 200gr SWC and Titegroup?

My old standby powder Bullseye hasn't been available anywhere for a long time. And now that I'm out of it, I need an alternative. I have plenty of Titegroup, so I'm looking for a load using that with 200 gr Ibejiheads SWC. I was using 4.5 gr Bullseye for about 840fps. Should I try a similar load with Titegroup?

Going off memory, I think used about 4.6 tite group with 200 grain swcs to make major out of a 5 inch 1911. Double check though,  Hodgdon has free data on their website.

I did check on Hodgdon site. The lowest load they show is 4.8gr at 877fps for a 175 pf. So I was guessing somewhere around 4.5gr would get me around 840fps.

My current recipe is 4.9gr Titegroup under a 200gr SWC at 1.25"

I started with TG but the impulse was more snappy than I like for 45. So I switched to Clays, it is a very pleasant impulse. 3.6gn Clays 200gn bullet 1.23" OAL is my latest load

Here is a load I used to use in my old S&W DK1911... If the weather is good this weekend, I'll try to chronograph it.

 

Bullet:  Oregon Trail 200 gr. LSWC
Powder:  Hodgdon Titegroup 4.7 grs.
Primer:  Federal 150
Case:  Winchester
LOAL:  1.245
Recoil Spring:  17 lbs
