Can I register to a National match?

Hello all. Not sure if this is the right place for this question, but I am an amateur shooter. My question is can I register for sectional or regional USPSA  match or is there a qualification requirement? I mainly want to experience and learn from other shooters.

As long as you're a USPSA member you can. You can shoot level 1 matches and not be a member but to shoot a level two and up, which a lot of sectionals and pretty much all the regional matches are, you need to be a member.

 

And I see that you say you're an amateur shooter, but I'm going to assume that you shot some local style USPSA matches.  If you haven't, I would suggest doing that a few times before going to a level 2 match. Good luck

Yeah. Thanks. I do shoot matches every month. Trying to improve on my skills. Specifically dot acquisition.

 Be sure to utilize this site to find matches.  Really helps when you travel if you want to pick up a game or two.

Just to clarify for you. Matches are from Low-High...

 

Local

Sectional *

Area

National **

 

*There are also some State Championship Matches. Mainly in states that have >1 section. And there are some Section Matches that are also called State Championships.

 

**There are slots for the various National matches.  But there are usually also open slots.
