usmc1974
I was wondering, how much does cuts like this in the slide weaken it?

GigG
Significantly but not in the axis that matters unless you blow up a barrel.

But the slide only sees back and forward movement during normal operation and in that axis the slide cuts aren't going to matter. Oh it may matter after about 50K or more rounds or if the cut wasn't done correctly. The one place one might notice it is if the barrel every explodes. There isn't as much frame to keep the fraged barrel in place.
aandabooks
That is a cracked slide just waiting to happen. It will be in the bars that will crack. Either at the top or the bottom of each bar. When I cut a slide I never cut all the way through unless the customer insists that is what they want. Even then it is only with full diameter radiuses in the corners.
