JackinSD
I wish you the best of luck. I've been searching and not been able to find any either. If you have some luck, I'd love to hear about it.
Pat B.
Will do! Got a couple of 10 rounders today.. Was going to drill out the dimples, well these particular mags are hard as woodpecker lips.. My drill bits wouldn't touch em.. Amazing !
Pat B.
In case someone else runs into this problem with the 10 round mags here's a ''solution'' that worked for me. I held the top 1/3 of the stripped mag in a bowl of water and then heated the dimples with a torch to anneal that area. Barely red, in fact, pulled the torch right before it got red.. kept the top in the water to keep from annealing the feed lips.. Anyway, I was then able to drill out the dimples then deburr the drilled holes inside the mag tube.. Now it runs any baseplate and spring you want.. Ain't pretty but it works. I'd guess with the correct carbide bit or burr you could drill the holes without annealing but I didn't have that tooling at hand Edited October 13, 2021 by Pat B. correction
sfinney
ProMags are the only option I can find right now, besides 10 rounders on Ebay for too much $$ each.
