Chills1994 Posted September 23, 2021 Share Posted September 23, 2021 A LGS has a Czechmate in a glass case (among some Nighthawk 1911’s). Obviously it is chambered in 9mm. According to the gun counter guy, to configure it like an open gun with a compensator, it comes with a second barrel with the comp already attached. So that go me thinking… dangerous I know. You couldn’t get that gun with a 9mm compensator equipped barrel and then a regular NON-comped barrel in .40S&W because the breechface is going to be milled to 9mm case head dimensions? So you couldn’t have like an Open/Limited “ convertible kit gun”? ”Hmmmnnnn….I feel like shooting Limited (major) at the next match. Just take off the optic mount swap barrels. d3ydx3 Posted September 23, 2021 Share Posted September 23, 2021 (edited) The limited setup with Czechmate is Limited Minor. No 40 S&W options. If you want to shoot 40 major in Limited, you're better off going to the Tactical Sport route. If you really want a gun that can convert between Limited & Open, the Honcho is the best option in town at the moment.
