Carmoney
Our club's year-end banquet and business meeting is next weekend. I should be able to announce a firm date by Jan. 10 or so. Mike Edited January 12, 2006 by Carmoney

Carmoney
OK guys--this is going to happen! Here's a firm date for the IROC match: OCTOBER 8, 2006 We're planning 10 stages, approximately 180 rounds, match fee of $30 (no T-shirts). This revolver match will follow our Iowa Single Stack match, which will be shot on October 6-7, 2006, and shooters are of course encouraged to participate in both "old-school" matches that weekend! More details, and eventually an entry form, will be available in the months to come. This will be a great time! Mike
aerosigns
Mike, Where will the shoot be at exactly. I might have missed it earlier in the thread. No matter though. I will plan on being there with wheel guns on. Price was real good also. Heck I pay that much just to shoot regular and a reshoot for 8 stages. Carmoney
Jim, the match will be at the Clarke County Rifle & Pistol Club outside of Osceola, IA. For those traveling in from out of town, good motel and restaurant facilities are available (the town is located right along I-35 in southern Iowa), and for those who enjoy gaming, there is a bona fide casino boat just a mile or two down the road! Directions and more information about the facility are here: http://www.ioweb.com/oops/ It's a fairly small range, but we've figured out ways to maximize the facility for bigger matches. This will be the third year for the Iowa Single Stack match, and the second year for the USPSA-sanctioned Iowa Sectional Championship. I'm new at running matches, but we have some highly experienced and competent guys there at the club who know how to do this stuff right. Our intention is to keep the price low and make it a fun yet inexpensive weekend of "old-school" shooting. Hey--where else can you shoot 20 stages over two days with two different guns for only $60? Carmoney
OK guys--this is going to happen! Here's a firm date for the IROC match: OCTOBER 8, 2006 We will have an entry form available shortly. Keep an eye open here and on the USPSA website calendar. The provisional Single-Stack 1911 match will be October 7 and the Revolver match will be October 8, just as planned. USPSA division rules will apply (6 rounds between reloads, no ports/comps, no scopes). Here's some good news--the price will be $30 for each match, or $50 to shoot both. T-shirts will be available at extra cost. Each match will be limited to 60 shooters--I'd be surprised if it doesn't sell out, so when the entry form hits the web, get signed up fast! Brett, this will be a sanctioned match, so you will need to be a member of USPSA to participate. Hope it works out that you can join us--should be a fun match for the "old-school" divisions!
