Pact-Man
The Maryland/Virginia sectional match is this weekend, and I want to shoot it. I can't email the MD from work, and I want an answer today, so please excuse the dumb question. I am not a USPSA member. If I can get signed up in time, can I shoot a major match without being classified?
ima45dv8
According to US Appendix A1 in the current rulebook, if the match is listed as a Level II or above, membership in USPSA is mandatory. The USPSA website match calendar lists it as a Level III, so it is required. Edited October 4, 2005 by ima45dv8
Gary Stevens
You can join USPSA on line or at the match prior to shooting, if you wish Gary
rtr
Just to add you can be a USPSA member and not be classified, in which case you'd shoot as a U shooter. I'd think you could call USPSA this week and join before the match this weekend, but can't guarantee that.
Rob Boudrie
Two ways of instantly establishing eligibility to compete (provided, of course, you know the proper safety protocols) - Join on-line and take a printout of the confirmation page to the match Give the match director a USPSA membership applicaiton, check and stamped envelope with your registration.
