Toolguy Posted February 1, 2020 Share Posted February 1, 2020 There's a round boss on the back of the barrel where it mates up to the frame. Above and below is a small clearance, usually around .002 to .003. It is the equivalent of free floating a rifle barrel so the point of impact doesn't shift as the barrel heats up.
