The whole stack of primers in the primer feed tube can be ignited when one primer goes off under the primer feed tube due to being crushed somehow in the primer feed assembly.  The one primer creates a chain reaction for the rest of the primers go off.  This is the reason progressive presses have a shield around the primer feeder tube so the tube does not blow up in your face.  The blast is directed upwards.  Sometimes impales the Primer Rod into the ceiling.
