I hate that my service manager doesn't seem to care about the lying, cheating and backstabbing that goes on between the the service writers and technicians so long as the work gets done and the only time he decides to get involved in the affairs of the shop is when someone higher up chews on his a**.

I also hate the fact that it is getting harder and harder to keep from beating the hell out of my service writer for being a backstabbing lying cheat.

I'm torqued that we had to write an office dress code. Evidently the younger generation considers bare midriffs, skin-tight T-shirts, and flip-flops office attire.

One of the restrictions was, "No overly tight clothing." The folks wanted clarification on this one. Like I've got some strain gauge we can slip down a blouse to see if it's over the limit. Give me a break. It's like pornography...hard to define...but you know it when you see it.

When scrubs were mentioned as an appropriate alternative to business casual, the crew wanted to know if we were buying them the scrubs. Uh, no. You wouldn't need the scrubs if you said to yourself while dressing, "I'm going to work today, not the Sturgis ralley."

The phrase, "Intuitively obvious" comes to mind, but I guess intuition ain't what it used to be.
