mofosheee
Hello I looking for a recommended 9mm bullet for my Mp5. Reading much positive about the 147gr FMJRN-BT Hornady ..............then what's so different about it than the Berrys; https://sep.yimg.com/ca/I/yhst-19878442352198_2270_7693289 Too many opinions, too many options. Thanks in advance! Jerry
oinco
I most like running 125gr Zero JHP's in my K. I run suppressed more often than not, very good accuracy, I like the impulse of the 124's better than the 147's- I am back on target faster. (that said, I have been running a lot of 115fmj lately) I have run a decent amount of RMR plated bullets, they are quite good- around 15yds I can see the accuracy improvement with a jacketed bullet. chevrofreak
Are you running suppressed? I would not run an exposed lead FMJ through a suppressor that isn't made to be taken apart and cleaned.
Shinarel
The number one difference between the Berry's and the Hornady's is that the Hornady's are jacketed and the Berry's are plated. Different bonding process, Jacketed will hold up to velocity better. The L7A1 Hirtenberger ammo that Mil/LEO were using were running well in excess of 1400 fps, which is past most plated/coated. If you do run a can, Chevro is right, make sure you can either take the can apart or run something without an exposed base.
