Why would a pistol be on the IPSC production list and not ours?

There is probably a simple answer here, but why would a pistol be on the IPSC production list and not the USPSA list?  Do they have different requirements, or is it just a matter of the manufacturer needing to submit to both governing bodies?  I'm thinking specifically of the Sarsilmaz SAR9.

I know there are different requirements,  like a glock 35/34 is not IPSC legal, but I bet the pistol you are looking for has not been submitted to USPSA, cause i think uspsa production guns are a little less restrictive than ipsc.

The rules are more restrictive. The manufacturer would have to get import approval for the US and then get it approved by USPSA. Perhaps they don't see a market here since it is fairly saturated with plastic guns. For rules, go here: http://www.ipsc.org/rules/

Different size Production Box keeps the 34/35 out.  Barrel is to long I believe.
