JP .22 rimfire Buffer/Springs

I have a JP .22 upper I put on a JP .223 lower.  I have not changed out the buffer.

 

I had 4 failures to seat the round out of about 120 rounds.

 

It was suggested that my buffer was too stiff and would not always allow the bolt to come back far enough to correctly capture the round.

 

Any thoughts?

 

Yes, I emailed JP last week, no response yet.

There is no buffer needed  In the JP .22 I did polish the feed ramp in mine. I have roughly 30k Rounds through mine.

I share a JP lower with a standard SCS for my JP22 and a normal 3 gun upper and never had failures if I keep it clean and use quality ammo.  The buffer just sort of rests against that back end of the bolt carrier that doesnt really move.

Not to derail the thread but...since they are all JP 22lr upper questions.

What forend are you using? 

What ammo does it prefer?

Have you had any issues with your trigger setting off the RF ammo?

My handguard is from lancer systems

at first I shot eley force now it eats anything Without Issues.

with a hiperfire I have had zero issues
