Helios
I need to load Blue Bullets 147gr RN to 1.10” to plunk and spin in an Apex SDI barrel for M&P. I currently use N320 for my 9mm loads and haven’t worked up the load yet but based on my Glock load for for the same bullet and powder I anticipate I’ll be at 3.3 - 3.5gr to make PF. This is well under the max charge for any 147gr listed on VV’s website but 1.10” seems way shorter than the 1.142” they’ve listed. Am I looking for trouble with that much bullet in the case? Do I need to consider another powder like Titegroup with an even lighter charge? Or do I need a new projectile all together?
Furrly
Longer Is better if your barrel allows it
Helios
The barrel doesn’t allow for anything longer than 1.10” with this bullet.
Aircooled6racer
Hello: Load to your 1.100" OAL and cut the powder back a little. Chrono to make sure you get the power factor you are looking for. Make sure the bullet feeds well at that OAL and the accuracy is what you are looking for. Thanks, Eric
Eman
I think 3.1gr of n320 will make power factor with some room. 3.0gr of titegroup should too with that short of OAL.
