So far I have made batches of 15 to 20 starting at.. 6.8, 6.9, 7.0, 7.1, 7.2, 7.3, 7.4, 7.5, 7.6. Today I am going to continue batches up to 8.2. These are all loaded to 1.155 for the most part there are a couple inconsistencies with the projectiles so some are up to 1.600. Does it sound like I am on the right track. Will be using kkm barrel and Carver 4 port comp, I have wolff 13, 14, and 15 lb springs. Thanks. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Aircooled6racer Posted January 1, 2019 Share Posted January 1, 2019 Hello: I think you will find that you will have to load to 1.140"-1.145" OAL to get the best feeding. You are going to be in the 8.0-8.5 grain range but chrono to see what you get with your barrel. I still think you will need a lighter recoil spring so try the 13lb to make sure you get the pistol to cycle. You may also want to try the Berry's 135 grain bullet and less powder. I did all my work ups with berry's plated 124gr not thinking about the whole plated thing so I ordered 3000 124 gr cmj projectiles from Everglades. I did however finish at 7.8 he of hs6 so when my parts arrive I will start with the 6.8 load and go up from there since I've already shot 6.6. Loaded to 1.1550.
