Unleashed
I am gathering my gear to switch from .223 to .308 and am wondering about options for mag holders, cinches, 30 rounders, etc. for the .308. I have already ordered two mag pouches from David Brown, which I think will work out well. I am really wondering if anyone has had any luck with 30 rounders. I would also like to know if there are mag cinches out there for these mags. I seem to make my best reloads when I have two mags strapped together. If anyone has any input it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Edwin
Paradox
Giving up on the 'pellet' gun already? I guess the insane 3-4 month wait for a custom CLE 5.56 barrel would do that to a person *SIGH* I think Mark Buchanan also has some .308 mag pouches. http://www.3gungear.com Buffer Technologies makes Mag Cinches for the AR-10 / .308 family Mags. http://www.buffertech.com I haven't seen any 30 round magazines made for the AR-10, but that's not to say they don't exist in any quantity. Me thinks the carbon fiber handguard will come in handy for high round counts...sheesh Speaking of such, I bet a pic of your PRI equipped JP upper would be a great addition to the 'gun porn' gallery Ahh! Google is a wonderful tool, but then so am I
Unleashed
You're Gay! J/K I will check out the buffer technologies mag cinches. I know that someone out there is making a cheap thirty rounder. I saw a few people using them at the '03 Nationals on their AR10s. I am not sure if anyone has been able to make them reliable and that is the info I am after.
stingerjg
while this may not be relavant, Brownells is carrying mags from DPMS. I have seen a few 30rd mags modified to work in an AR10.

cking
CLE is slow because of the camp perry shoot. Normal delivery time is 2/3 weeks. got my custom 18" mid length gas port, 3/4 diameter barrel in that time frame. By mid August they will be back on schedule. Paradox
Not to hijack the thread but since you mentioned it... Both of us have been expecting 17" SS barrels with the standard rifle gas block location, custom barrel dimensions, and a .223 Wylde chamber. The order was placed at LEAST 3 months ago. Called them last week and they hadn't even started on the order. Canceled order for both barrels. Placed the order based upon recommendation, but I don't think I will order anything from them in the future.

I ordered two bbls of the same make in late April and had confirmation that they were in the works. I was deployed at the time and wasn't too worried about timliness. I finally called last week (August 4th) and asked about the bbls' status. I was told that they hadn't been started on and probably wouldn't be for at least another week or so. I obviously had to cancel the order and will get the bbls from somewhere else. So....while I can understand that CLE may have been busy for Camp Perry, that doesn't explain why I waited over three months for two bbls that hadn't even been started on and I was never informed of the status. Unleashed
yeah...I knew there were some companies out there making 30 rounders for the M14. Does anyone know which of these mag companies produces a usable mag and what you might have to do to them to make them work? I found some more for about the same price from Wholesale Hunter, I think they are made by National Magazine.
