nomore606
Last weekend at a match I had an issue with bumping the safety causing me to have obvious issues. I said no more and ordered the flat safety from Patriot Defense. I installed it tonight with no fitting necessary and immediately noticed the difference in grip and comfort. I have fairly large hands and the original safety always dug into my support hand. I’ll be shooting my first match this weekend with it, but so far I am pleased with the outcome. Steppenwolf
Good to hear that you did not have to fit it! I put one on my Stock 2 and had to fit it. Definitely better than the stock safety.
Trinimon
I'm the opposite. I like the wide safety so that I could ride it with my thumb, just like my 1911s. Edited June 21, 2018 by Trinimon
nomore606
Trinimon, I also shoot limited and like the comfort of the safety on the 2011 platform but this is far more comfortable on the Tanfoglio. I challenge you to try it.

Guess I'll just have to get a Stock III AUS. lol
MemphisMechanic
All stock IIIs are “Aussie” models, @Trinimon. They all have 5” barrels. It’s the otherwise 4.5” Stock II where you need a special AUS model to get a 5” gun.
Trinimon
Arghh. I'm mixing up my Tanfoglios. I meant Stock III Special Ed in nickel finish.
