Rudukai13
Anyone have pictures/can explain how the OEM magwell that comes with the X5 gets removed to make it legal for Production/CO? Who kept theirs after removing it? I may have interest in speaking with someone by PM who has theirs available...
Explosiveo
I don't have one but I believe there is just a screw you take out. Similar to a Glock. In the back of the grip.Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
Daemunx1
Single allen screw on the rear of the grip. As for keeping it, why would you get rid of it? I cant imagine many gun owners are in the habit of just throwing out parts. Its not something you can just throw on another 320 btw. Not unless its an x5 grip module. Rudukai13
I'm looking for one to add to my X-Carry. The magwell is compatible with any of the X-Series grip modules
Rudukai13
I just can't seem to find any places stocking just the magwell with mounting hardware yet...

Rudukai13
I hadn't thought of that but it's a good suggestion, will give it a shot. Thanks!
kozy
Yes there is a screw in the back of the grip holding the mad well on. Mine was striped from the factory but I used an easy out to remove it.
Rudukai13
Called Sig directly, they said they're not offering the magwell individually for sale yet but said it shouldn't be more than another month or two before smaller individual components of the X-Series grip modules start shipping - Things like the magwell, frame weight, etc
rocket99
I am wondering what the thread size is and length of screw that holds the magwell on to the grip? I have an extra magwell, but the screw has been damaged when the original owner removed it Edited March 22, 2018 by rocket99
Rudukai13
I would have to imagine Sig customer service would be able to supply the replacement screw or at least have the information on what size screw is needed
SCSU74
As fast as the modules are selling I just ordered another x5 module and harvested the magwell/weight. They're $70 with a 25% off coupon
Rudukai13
Considering Springer Precision sells their P320 ESP magwell for $60 (https://shop.springerprecision.com/product.sc?productId=341&categoryId=83) which is similar size/amount of material, $70 for the full grip module including magwell and grip weight is a pretty good deal
Daemunx1
Particularly considering the springer magwell requires gunsmith fitting. Its not bolt on. The $60 is just for the part, not the installation.
