Open vs CO are 2 different beast. Like mentioned before, Open is more about speed then accuracy. Its going to come down to what are your goals. If you just want to shoot and have fun, not worry about constantly make sure the gun and equipment are perfectly tuned and clean, stay in CO.
Open is WAY more expensive in the upfront cost and on going....I shot open for about 3 years and now shoot CO. They are both fun but your focus will be different.
Yeah, my Dad is running the DPP on this CO set up, nothing but issues. First they are shutting off, now the replacement will not hold zero.....
I am running the RTS2 V4 on my CO rig, so far only had one with the flashing dot....
I feel its worth it to do my own triggers. Everybody likes their triggers a certain way. Having the right tools and a basic understanding of the trigger, its not that hard to do
i kinda have a theory but in the end it doesnt mean crap if you watch the top guys run. Flat shooting gun seem more violent in the hand, soft shooting guns seem to have more flip/dot movement. For me, i want flat shooting because if I see the dot pulling off or making a squirrely move as I pull the trigger, hit that shit again....
I have both Mark7 and AmmobotR2. I have close to 120k rounds ran through my M7 and 20k on the AB. By far the Mark7 I trust more then the Ammobot. The AB says that they have a clutch but it does not seem to work all the time depending on the speed settings.
Yes the M7 is more but when you are confident that he can walk out to the press and hit cycle start, knowing that the press is going to run 100% and give you 100% quality, the price difference is worth it compared to blowing up my 5-7k open gun. Get the Mark7 and focus on shooting.
