Finally read the FAQs

Finally read the FAQs (3/11)

  1. Wasnt like that when new. It continues to wear. The disconnect doesnt show any considerable wear. I assume its either a harder material or its just the way they are making contact. Havent had any upgrade work. Its post upgrade production. Will contact sig next month if I get a chance and see what they say.
  2. You can see how the disconnect tracks far enough towards the centerline that it prevents it from dipping into the hole. Where as mine tracks straight into the hole. Just bad luck on the tolerances I think. I’ve been thinking about sending a pic to a sig service rep. Even if the disconnect riser was just a touch wider it wouldnt be an issue.

Wow, out of date much? CNN stretching for something to write about besides current politics?

Its varied. Mine was not mushy, it hung up at the base of the sear and clicked. Like others have said its like a second trigger break. They definetly are having some problems.
  5. What exactly is a “mushy reset?” I know the apex bar should increase pull weight a tiny bit but it should be no more than a half lb or so. Personally thats insignificant imo. I plan on getting an apex bar soon. Will report my experience when I get it installed.
  6. I’m curious in what way the apex trigger “would not work.” Wouldnt break? Wouldnt reset? Couldnt get it installed? Doesnt seem likes theres enough difference for it to be completely incompatible.
  7. Removed mine to see if it would work in a standard 320 module. Came out pretty easily by removing trigger unit and tapping a small flat head screwdriver intonthe crease at the bottom (magwell opening.) It just slides into a slot which more than 50% enclosed if that makes sense. The standard 320 has a slot there aswell but its open (<50% enclosed) so it wont stay in place. It would only take a very slight change in design to make it interchangable between grips. Given advertised modularity I dont see why they didnt make it that way to begin with. Kinda like the magazines that weren't cross compatible till they modified the design. Least well thought out, well thought out design decisions I’ve seen.
  8. Sig? The closest thing aftermarket is grayguns. Just slightly different dimensions. I believe you can get a flat trigger for any 320 straight from sig if thats what you want.
  9. If the disconnector tracked just the tiniest bit closer to center line then it wouldnt enter the hole. I think I just lost the tolerance lottery.
  10. Seems they just get overwhelmed. I ordered within minutes of the email and had a shipping notification within hours.
  11. Getting a lot of wear from the disconnect that goes up into the disconnect notch (post factory upgrade) sliding into the hole for the sight plate just forward of the notch. Posted a similar pic of this elsewhere but this one shows much more clearly the amount of wear I’m getting. Its getting heavy enough that I’m actually concerned now that over time it may cause functionality issues. If it gets grooved out deep enough the slide may start to hang up on it. Just curious if anyone else with 1k plus rounds is seeing the same thing.

Like I said not modifying anything. Not doing anything beyond knocking off an edge that would eventually wear no less. Wouldnt recommend anyone tamper with engagement angles, removing enough material to reduce surface area of contact points or anything of the sort but polishing is pretty safe. (Oh, it’s you. ?)

Looking again at the sear, I can see a very fine hair line at the base of the sear face where the 2 angles come together. I can’t catch it on camera with a cellphone but it looks like whatever implement they used to polish it just didnt quite reach 100% into the angle. Its like the finest of hair lines but with how sharp the strikers edge was it was enough to catch on it.

Right, Didnt replace it or use a stone on it so much as to change any angles or remove a lot of material. Just softened up the sharpness of the edge that was grabbing into the sear. I probably could have taken some polish to the base of the sear face but its a lot harder to get into that little corner than it is to touch up an edge.

I assume you mean the spring that comes with it for the apex version of the overtravel stop? I dont have but I think thats just to keep it from rattling around freely. Perhaps another owner can confirm.
