You can find out all sorts of trivia about watermelon at www.hollarseeds.com (yes,that Hollar). I can't find the really good stuff they used to have posted about the differences between 22, 44 and 33 chromosome melons, but they do have a couple of melon seed PHd's on staff.

It bums me out when I meet people who don't like such and such fruit. Heck, I can't have ANY fresh fruit. Allergic to it all. Not being able to eat this stuff bugs the hell outa me. I'm lucky that I can at least bake some of these things into Pies and cobblers, but melons? aw well. My own private hell
