jcl
I am working on loading different weight bullets to see what my Pcc will like. I have several reloading Manuals but my Speer Manual has a note under the 147 gr. Bullet that the 147 grain is not recommend for barrels 10 in or longer, is this due to pressure or maybe velocity? thanks in advance
stick
I shot thousands of 147gr bullets through my 16" barrel without any problems. The velocity will be higher on a 16" barrel. Here's one of my favorite loads for comparison. Bullet Brand Everglades Bullet Type Round Nose Bullet Weight 147gr Powder Name Titegroup Powder Weight 3.0gr Primer Federal COL 1.130-1.135 Average Chronograph Speed 973.9 Standard Deviation 52.48 Chronograph Speed Low/High 890 1033 Power Factor

jcl
It is just a general note at the bottom of the 147 gr chart. Doesn’t say anything about powder.
jcl
Thanks for the load info stick. Right now I am using W231 and the gun seems to like it so far, but I do have some title group I might try later on.

The gun cycles better and the recoil is a push and not a flip.
