Are there barrel length limitations for shooting Limited/Tacticalclasses?

Can you use a 10 rd extension for Limited/Tactical class if you plug it down to 8 rd?

Who's rule book? If you're using the IMG rule book and you're shooting at the SMM3G, barrel length can't be more than 22".

Looking at the USPSA rules, I don't see any that specifically discuss barrel length.

Isn't there something in Tactical Class about no more than 9 in the gun at ANY time? If so, a plug might elimate a potential problem.

If you're talking USPSA rules, Tactical shotgun is any Limited-legal shotgun.

-- no barrel-length restriction

-- no more than 8+1 at any time

-- no bipods, no optics, no porting

If you're talking IMGA rules, then... you need to look at the rules that are in effect for the specific match you're going to, because each match sorta tweaks and modifies them as they go. For example

-- the Superstition Mountain rules say barrel must not be more than 22", mag tube no more than 23";

-- the DPMS trigun rules (at least, as of 5/31/05) have no length restrictions, saying only "barrel length may not be changed for the duration of the match"

-- the Superstition Mountain rules say "no more than 9 rounds in the gun at the start"

-- the DPMS trigun rules say tactical shotguns "may only hold 9 rounds max". That implies that if your tube holds 10, or more, you may be in violation of the rules even if you only *load* 9.
