I'm just curious because I'm about to order some MBX mags or Grams gut for my new GEN STI mags...... Yes. I just ordered new MBX springs anyway. They work great except for that round slipping past the follower. It makes me clean every time I drop one, so I think they did this on purpose so I don't shoot a mag full of dirt and grass. Thanks MBX for forcing me to be best prepared!
Glk21C
rounds slip past the follower due to a tube that is too wide side to side.
RangerTrace
Only when you drop a partially loaded mag??
Glk21C
no. anytime. if a tube is too wide the stacking of the rounds falls apart, thus salt shaker. You can try to manipulate a spring and follower design all you want to overcome this but you can't.
RangerTrace
Yeah, maybe. I've had some very reliable (SV) mags that did this when you dropped them to the ground with rounds in the mag. Otherwise, they were perfectly reliable and awesome...
