paul788
What is safe to use that is stronger than Blue Locktite? I am guessing that the heat is breaking the bond. Cleaned with acetone, blew dry with compressor, blue locktite and let dry for 36 hrs. Lasted less than 225 rds before screw was 1/4 turn loose. Thanks Paul
alecmc
Red is stronger then blue, but seems way over kill. I've never had problems with a dab of blue loctite over tens and tens of thousands of rounds over many guns. Maybe look into upgrading to a Bowen classic rear sight, which utlizizes 2 mounting screws into the frame instead of one.
PatJones
Loctite has a higher resistance to heat than my hand does, how hot are you getting the top strap?I have no thread locker on my screw and it has never moved in 6 years of ICORE/USPSA. Are the threads damaged in any way? Try a new screw.
reverse_edge
Something tells me the top of the gun isn't getting THAT hot. I'd try a new screw.
