James3Gunna
Ordered a flush fit QD point last night so I can sling my shotgun for the up and coming Rock Hard match in March. I have never done this before and was wondering which side of the gun would be the best to mount the sling on. I assume that mounting the sling on the left side of the gun would be best, as it keeps the bolt handle off your back. I could also see the sling interfering with loading if mounted on the left, possibly getting hung on your caddies. Any input on this would be appreciated. GunCat
I sling up on the left side for the very reason you mentioned...that keeps the bolt handle and bolt release off my back when the (VTAC) sling is tight
Nathan
Yep, left side here, as well. Mine took a little fiddling, I put it in the handguard (Versamax) and it was pushing on the tube hard enough to make the opposite side touch the barrel, but a little shaving here and there and I got it off the tube and The handguard back off my barrel. Paul49
We don't need no stinking forend or clamp sling mounts! Get a sling adapter with a short paracord like loop and slip it over the end of your magazine extension, attach the other end to the stock and adjust the length to whatever you need. James3Gunna
I already had a QD point on my clamp, so I just installed a Noveske flush qd mount to my stock. I am good to go. Been practicing with it, it carries well like this.
tattooo
Right handed should have the sling mount on the left IMO
