AikiDale
The phone you want should be, I believe, a Quad-band world phone (GSM/GPRS/EDGE). Others may be more help here, but if you trust the kid the best one that I have lusted after is the Cingular Treo 650. Read review here.. And when he is home on vacation you can use it as the master pda for the palm scoring system.

kimel
Try www.digicelgrenada.com. Looks like they are a Nokia dealer (among others). I know Nokia does "world phone" type phones (although I think that term is a Moto trademark. You might get better rates/service if he gets the phone there. The US companies that provide international roaming there want big $$. Edited June 8, 2005 by kimel

lynn jones
hey guys, thanks. i found a good site too. http://www.telestial.com/products/grenada_sim.htm i think we'll go with the pre-paid cards too. lynn
1hotrod
I think the best way overseas, is to use the pre-paid cards you can purchase there. When you decide which triband phone you want to use, just stick in a new pre-paid sim card, and there you go. You can refill it, but most people I know just get a new number. BTW. Howardforum, is a really good place to see reviews on all the phones. Take it from a guy that used to have a cell phone store.
