taco2000
Has anyone used this new barrel before, how this compare to the their SPR barrel. https://www.whiteoakarmament.com/3-gun-223-18-1-8-twist-w-gas-tube.html Thanks,
troupe
I have not used that exact set up from WOA, but used many of their barrels. Very accurate, and John is great to deal with.
sierra77mk
SPR is 2.56 lbs so this one is not that much lighter. That being said my SPR profile is the most accurate BBL I have. the 1:7 loves sierra 77's and hornady 68's are a close second. I had John build my 18" upper with rifle length gas specifically for heavy bullets & long range matches. A 16" 1:9 with a lighter contour is what I use for 55gr at matches under 300yds. So if a 1:8 mid-length gas is what you'd want, I would not hesitate on a WOA BBL.
biglou13
I have WOA spr barrel. On a tuned light weight system..... And a lighter Hanson profile barrel 16 inch also tuned light weight system. the heavier SPR barreled rifle shoots flatter..... I'm not competive enough to which will perform better competition. But if you can tolerate and swing more weight the heavier spr profile shoots flatter with less muzzle flip
Willz
I'm shooting the WOA16 inch Match profile, mid length gas, 1/7 Wylde chamber barrel. It's been incredibly accurate. It is a bit heavy but the weight adds to the stability and makes settling the rifle easier after sprinting 50 yards to shoot long range targets. Brownell's has them.
