Mag that didn't seat when full...

I tested the mag before the match...but I now believe that I seated it when the slide was back. Yesterday I reloaded and the mag just fell out. I though I must have short stroked it, and it was my last mag, so I picked it up and slammed it in hard. It fell right out. That will take a nice stage run and just kill it.

Lesson learned. Check your equipment out in training before the match!!!

If it's just the one mag that won't seat, that's an easy cure.

If a bunch of mags won't seat, then you probably need a new

spring on your mag release button.

I have one 17 round M&P mag like that. I load a round from it then stick in my back pocket and insert a 10 round mag from a pouch. 11 rounds total at beeper.

I have the same problem with full mags not seating on reloads, I run TTI +6 base pads on my glock mags and just unload one round from full on my extra mags which seems to help a lot.

I bought 4 new mags for my tanfo match and shooting steel challenge they kept falling out. I was butt slapping them HARD and it was 50-50 odds.

Had work to figure it out (mags were slightly fubar).
