180 gr coated with RS Competition?

Looking to make major for USPSA Limited in a 2011.

Current load is 4.7 gr TiteGroup under 180 gr plated at 1.2 coal and just makes PF.

4.7 gr TG under a 180 gr Bayou was 175+ PF.

I was able to get some RS Competition and need some assistance with a starting load.

Seems like 4.5 gr would be a place to start and then chrono?

The data I've found on Western powders page and here are all for those loading shorter. I haven't seen any long data, but my search fu may have failed me.

going off the top of my head, 4.4gr with berry's 180gr at 1.165 gets me just about 170pf.

i would start lower with the coated

I can't remember what recipe I was using, but I couldn't get RS Comp to meet PF out of my Tanfo Limited with 180gr plated bullets. I ended up going with Longshot and got much better results.

I run 180 blue bullets @1.210 oal with 4.2 competition and S&B primers. Went 170 PF with a sd of 5 at Florida open in my 5" infinity.

I believe I'm at 4.6gr 1.180oal for a 2011

4.4gr. @ 1.180" with 180 Bayou Bullets for me. This load was 169PF at the Florida Open.

Ok, thanks guys. Sounds like some testing is in order as there is some variability in what's working.
