For a cleaner powder with less smoke and less residue I like Solo 1000 but it's getting real hard to fine. Another choice is VhitaVhouri N320. Very clean and very accurate. mchapman Posted January 4, 2016 Share Posted January 4, 2016 I use 4.5gr of BE-86 and also 4.5gr of Auto Comp both powders meter well and clean burning both run about 800-830 fps from my 4 in 627, I'm also using 4.1 of BE-86 with 147-150 in 38 short colt in the same gun.
