Flexmoney
I like "practical shooting" weather. And, I like the shoooters that show up and have fun in it.
stingerjg
I went out to the range today and practiced(first time in 6-8months). It was in the upper 60's. its supposed to be in the upper 70's tomorrow for our monthly match.
Round_Gun_Shooter
Our first match of the season was cancelled today due to very deep water on the range. I still did a little indoor work on my new 357SIG load but I really wanted to shoot a match
Shooter Grrl
I'm sunburned and quite happy about it. My seratonin "happy happy" levels were way below depression stage. Officialy, it was 68, partly cloudy and just damned gorgeous here today!
Airedale
Flex, I was up your was this weekend at Buckeye Lake. I'll bet you're talking about that sideways snow and rain with the 40 mph gusts. We were gunning chukars for the Airedale National Hunt tests. Saturday was miserable....but fun. Dave
tightloop
Saw all that snow in Cleveland over the weekend....ughhhhhhhhhhhhhh
HQBrass
Yeah, it was great, whiteouts and flooding at the same time. All the target heads were all drooping over. My favorite was the classifier where the shooting box was on the high ground and you had to wade out to it.
Flexmoney
Airedale, It sounds like you were a stone's throw from my brothers house. TL, yeah...Cleveland broke a record for snow fall in a season. We were a bit south of Cleveland (south of Columbus)...our snow was wet and melting...ice-cold running water on the range. We had to use a tupperware bin to do our "gun on table" start...didn't think everybody would want to put their blaster down in the slushy wetness. HQBrass, Steve and I talked about moving that shooting box a bit...so that the target stand for T1 could be moved to more solid ground. Shooter comfort won out (although the RO was standing in a few inches of water ). SG, today is blue skies and sunny...almost 60. We still managed over 30 shooters. Hunter-Booth-A43995
Up at our monthly match, Circleville, last saturday it seemed that the sky was falling it snowed, it rained, and it blew freezing wind that got you to the bone. But all in all it was a great match and great compition I even got to shoot with moneypenny the king of wetness and jamming.
