I use a stainless steel brush, and Shooters Choice, and scrub it good. I have no problem. I have had the 646 for four years. If they have a clear coating on it I've never sean it, even when the gun was new. Ive had two new ones and one used one. There was an old rumor floating around when the 646's came out, that if you did not keep the Ti cylinders clean they would build up carbon deposits in the ball end of the cylinders and crack. I'm not sure that is true or not, but I clean mine every time I shoot it. As I said no problems. ---JWB

I do not support the move. I live in Parkersburg about 15 mins away from Ohio and roughly 2 hrs away from Kentucky and a good 3 to 4 hrs from PA. West Virginia's only club is like 30 mins from Kentucky and like 10 from the OH border. I have shot several area 5s and many state matches that reside in area 5 they are close and are really good shoots. I may be a area 5 pro kinda guy but i think it should stay the same. The reason that there are so few clubs in WV is not because of the shooters but more of the laws in WV. In WV you can get sued for everything you got if someones not watching whats going on and has an accident. So if you want more clubs and shoots change the law but don't move the state into area 8. In my opinion it would do no good, and the last time i checked majority of the population is west not east in WV. Hunter

Zero in at 25. Get a target at 50 and shoot a few times just to know where your gun hits at that distance. You need it with matches like the World Shoot Qualifier, in Mich, and Last years Open nats in tulsa. Hunter

Im just really excited about this match! It was ran great last year and the staff were very skilled and nice. The stages were fun and well designed. The ROs were some of the best i think. Hunter

I myself have started to shoot open not to long ago and it has steady started raising my scores in both limited in open from low B class to high Aclass ,almost to Master class . Open class kinda pushes you to shoot fast and acurate and make you belive in yourself as a shooter. I started to shoot long shots about as fast as close with the belief that i got that target and it had at least an AC. That ,at least for me, moves on to my limited gun aswell. I mean the big GMs that said that this game is about 90% memtal and 10% other stuff were right!

Im really a fan of run and gun stages all the stages i have made are those and 99% are easy shots.I also a fan of the swingers and runners. I really enjoy these and they off-set more bland stages. Hunter

Great match, and great squad (14), Good to meet you Z-man, and very impressive shooting. Your tips on how to shoot stage #9 made a possible disaster disappear. Silver Creek always puts on a great match, and makes the long drive worthwhile. thanks to all of you that busted your butts to make it happen. JB

Bubber, I think your observations are dead on. That is exactly what happened in the bottom feeders I was playing with back then. Barsto made a special barrel for me with the 1/16 twist (for Horn. 115 jhp), and put it in. It shot 1 1/2 " 10 shot 50-yd groups. Would you please let us know how your experiments with the different weight bullets go? Thanks for the info.----John/Hunter

Congrats to you Bill, you deserve the slot. At least someone from SE ohio will be there representing us. Hunter got a slot to the open championships at Tulsa, so it looks like I will be there shooting production, of which I am no better at than revolver( come to think of it I'm not very good at either), so,-- the best of luck to all of you rev shooters on this forum at the Nats. Mike, Does the twist in the barrel have anything to do with the accuracy of the different ammo, esspecially the different weight bullets? Some of the 9mm barrels were 1/10, and some were 1/16. the 38 Spec was supposed to 1/18. I know I really improved the accuracy of a 9mm bullseye gun going to 1/16. What is the twist in the S&W 38 super? Hunter/jb

Take a flat small file , with the mag laying on it's back and file the weld in the back of the mag very smooth. It may look like it is smooth now but it probably isn't. It can have no waves in it ( for want of a better word). After that file a small rounding angle on the back top of the follower, about 1/4 of the way down. If necessary , round the front edge (bottom) of follower. Lastly coat the back inside, and the front inside of the mag tube with a dry lubricate. You don't have to do all of these at once or at all, but the real difficult ones may take all. I use para springs , wolf springs, and wolf plus 20 mag springs in my mags(allkinds in different mags) with no problems. Hope this helps--good shooting-hunter

i use a paraord p16 limited same thing i use in uspsa has the dillion cheater magweld that has been grindoff a bit to fit in the box bomar sites everything else is pretty much stock except for my less than 2 lb trigger runs great i get to use the same gun in both sports just have to whip out some 10 round mags and idpa legal gear they dont like the cr speed rigs!?
